Clara Ampem-Darko
CEO - Hope NP in Psychiatry
Clara, a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), is the founder of HOPE NP in Psychiatry. With over 14 years of experience in diverse mental healthcare settings—ranging from inpatient and outpatient care to emergency room services—Clara is dedicated to providing compassionate and accessible mental health care for individuals of all backgrounds. As a proud African American woman originally from Ghana, West Africa, Clara has a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by people of color. She is passionate about supporting underserved communities, including those with or without insurance, by breaking the stigma surrounding mental health and empowering individuals to seek the help they deserve.
